Today we all went to Avignon. It's the first day here in Provence that we haven't got lost! There are a lot of small roads and a lot of small towns around here and the sign posts NEVER say what you expect them to say so that's why we keep ending up going in the wrong direction! Well that's my story! Actually Campbell had a turn at navigating and we did at least manage to go in the right direction - and he didn't get yelled at as much as I did!!
Today was very hot - the car thermometer read 36 degrees.
We had a wander around the small alley ways and streets, met up with Campbell for lunch. He then went off to explore the city and to see Palais des Papes (which we saw last week). There is also an amazing bridge which only goes part of the way across the river. The reason for this is that it was continually being damaged first by conflict and later by floods so about the 17th century, they gave up and left it as it was!
Sounds like you three are still having a good time. I cannot believe anyone in my family would yell at a navigator. If they do they should buy a GPS and yell at it!! Looks a pretty cool way of using the computer - Irene has not allowed me to do that - she thinks I might go to sleep. Perhaps Campbell was asleep. Take care.
