Today was all about retail therapy mixed with exploring Nice Centre Ville. We were both impressed! Nice is like a little Paris. It is clean, the old buildings are beautifully preserved and there are little streets off bigger ones with lots of lovely shops, restaurants and old hotels. We caught the bus from Cagnes sur Mer into Nice which is obviously a popular thing to do as the bus was very full. We had lunch ( a whole fish each with rice and vegetables for 9.50 Euros each) in a little restaurant in a side street. You have to have lunch because EVERYTHING closes from about 12.30 til 2.30. This is something we have got very used to by now and the other thing you have to expect is that museums and galleries etc are often closed the very day you decide to visit them. Most shops are closed Sundays and Mondays which is why we chose those days for our beach days.
You'll all be interested to know that there is a "Maori Bar" in Nice - see the photo !!
